Resource-intensive development and production inevitably generates waste and wastewater. The Technology Campus Tirol provides an ultra-modern infrastructure for wastewater management and disposal: separate collection systems for wastewater, washing water and surface/cooling water as well as a fully integrated wastewater treatment plant. The sites also feature appropriate infrastructure for the disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
Wastewater treatment plant and water recirculation
Wastewater treatment plant with storage and neutralization tanks, as well as fermenters and
decanters for the treatment of heavily contaminated wastewater (capacity approx. 1,500 m3/h)
Wastewater treatment plant including clarification tanks, separators, thickening and separation of sewage sludge (capacity approx. 5,500 m3/h)
Exhaust air treatment of odorous exhaust air (capacity approx. 160,000 Nm3/h)
Environmental laboratory for wastewater analysis as well as environmental and industrial hygiene
Sludge drying and fertilizer production to avoid disposal costs
Separate discharge of cooling water and surface water and return to the Inn river
Transport of severely contaminated wastewater from Schaftenau to Kundl; further treatment
Disposal
Disposal management of hazardous and non-hazardous waste (mostly medical waste, packaging material, solvent waste and residues)
All waste streams concentrated in-house at three main collection points for further treatment and disposal
Most of disposal is outsourced to local waste treatment and recycling companies
We dispose for you!
